USDA No Longer Collecting Mink Farm Statistics

After budget cuts last year, it was announced the USDA will no longer be collecting data on mink farms. Previously, every year the USDA released statistics on the number of mink farms and animals killed for fur. Then in 2010, it was announced they would only be collecting data every five years.

This document spells out the former methodology of fur farm data collection by the USDA, along with some statistics for 2011.
