A large cluster of mink farms was discovered in Polar, Wisconsin, during research for the Fur Farm Intelligence Project. The information available indicated that most or all of these farms are owned by the Pavek family. Until this week, there was no solid information on the operational status of any of these farms, but we can confirm one of these farms was open as of late-2011:
